Lough Dan - Red Route

The Red route around Lough Dan is designed for the beginner.

This hike takes approx. 1 hour to complete.

Leaving Lough Dan, you enter the road at O158 019 and follow this to the edge of the forest.

Follow the forest around, keeping it on your right at all times to O 152 025.

Here the path descends quite rapidly to the road so care is needed.

Once back on the road, follow it back to Lough Dan car park at O 156 023
